Jim Turnour supports APC10
Jim was elected to the House of Representatives in November 2007 and represents the Federal Seat of Leichhardt which takes in Cairns city and surrounds, including Kuranda, the site of the next APC10.
Jim describes himself as a practical man from a farming background. He has two degrees from the University of Queensland, in Agricultural Science and Economics.
Prior to being elected to Parliament, Jim built a career working with farmers and graziers for the Department of Primary Industries and as a consultant in Australia and overseas including the organic sectors.
Jim is proudly supporting APC10 and encourages local participation and warmly welcomes visitors to the region.

The Convergence is a highly anticipated event for Permaculturalists across the Australasian region and is held only once in every two to three years. It will provide the permaculture community with opporunities to update skills through presentations and workshops; network; promote business activities and share the latests innovations happening world wide in water managment, energy, efficiency, food security, soil fertility, biodiversity conservation, social amenities and local economics. Keynotes speakers from across the globe are being invited to attend.
This will be an important activity for Cairns, the region and the nation and one which deserves support.
