Together with her husband, Kym Kruse and sons, Jack and Dylan, Georgie has firmly placed Permaculture on the Far North Queensland map. Georgie and Kym are founders of Permaculture Cairns Inc., have established and continue to teach weekly Permaculture design to students in Education Queensland schools, consult widely to landowners, council and NGOs and have undertaken major works on their 7-acre property at Walkamin (the dryest area on the Atherton Tablelands) to catch every last drop of water where they run regular PDCs.

Anne Stephens, Secretary and Coordinator APC10

Anne's background in Systems Theory and enduring interest in all things botanical led her to Permaculture theory and practice over 20 years ago. Anne has a background in media and events management, contributing to magazines including Earth Garden, and influencing the way things were done at Channel 10s studios in Brisbane. She has worked with students in a number of Education Queensland schools as a teacher and administrator, and recently was part of the winning team that prevented the Queensland Government building a dam on the Mary River in the State's South East.
